Good Afternoon all, it’s Liza the Owner of The Wandering Path. After I returned home from that Wander Weekend I realized I needed to make sure I took time for “me”.
Working 6 days in a row..and while I adore my business and interacting with my customers (new friends) I needed to make sure to keep my own “even keel” and be helpful to others I needed to try to find a way to do something for me to de-stress regularly.
I decided that since my one day off a week was a Wednesday…I would turn that into Wander Wednesdays. I would stop at the places that looked interesting; use the pendulum to choose or see where the journey took me where “getting lost” led to some interesting sights.
I’ve even started offering the option for people to come along with me…and they could even offer up places to go see but with the rules that it has to do with nature; not cost a lot of money (I would take care of gas & any entrance fees) and that it be within 150 miles to allow for return by 2pm local time and the “turn the cell off or put on airplane mode” as a stipulation. I have had people take me up on the option and other days I just go by myself but I am thankful at how much I de-stress & relax in just those few hours once a week. I hope you find ways to disconnect from the noise & rejuvenate yourself as I have.
The Wander Wednesdays that have happened between the Wander Weekend and now..have taken me (and others) to a Waterfall; a hike thru spider prone woods (ha!); an unexpected “got lost” 4-wheeling trip around backroads where I did see some interesting things (a gorgeous bird on sentry duty; an Air Force Jet on display in a park etc..); and another heat beat at a chilly lagoon (oh yeah hyperventilate when you get in..it’s that cold!).
Rather than trying to upload quickly details of each trip, please see my other social media sites (instagram & facebook) for the entries or photos. I will try to write up Wander Wednesday’s after each trip so you can follow along. I promise to try to take you along more often through this blog…and share more details on what I’ve seen; felt; heard; perceived. BB!

Good Afternoon all, it’s Liza the Owner of The Wandering Path. As I continue the recap of what occurred last month (July)…I do apologize for not getting to it after I got back…but better late than never.
I did consult the map again as I headed into the 2nd day of my Wander Weekend.
Day Two: Where did the Pendulum land? Well I got my “yes” indicator closer to home…so off I went to explore Florida Caverns State Park. No, even growing up down here as a teenager nor in the last 8 years living here as an adult did I know about this place…so yet again…the Park Service to the de-stress me rescue!
As many of you know…or have noticed, I do prefer things in Nature…away from bright lights; loud noises; crowds; or perhaps it’s more that I like being away from too much “let me entertain you” concrete life…where cell phones don’t work too well & you can shut out the noises of: “work, errands, stress” and listen for the sounds of “life”…the call of the birds; rustle of leaves in the wind; falling rain.
Okay….this post has a great deal of photos attached to it. To say I enjoyed my brief hike & tour of the Caverns is an understatement. I’ve attached first the some of the photos of the underground cavern tour (beat that heat by going down on this 45 min tour…well worth it…just mind your head). After the tour…I did a short hike until the thunderstorms overhead threatened to soak me for the rest of the day.
The trails are well maintained and not too rough. The scenery is gorgeous and the ability to see some other limestone carve outs was quite interesting. There is definitely a good vibe to this place and I will definitely be back especially since it is just a few hours from my home. Thank you to my higher self for telling me via my Pendulum a perfect ending on my de-stress birthday Wander Weekend. Keep scrolling for a grid to the photos & see my other social media pages for ones I uploaded while on the trip as well.

Good Afternoon all, it’s Liza, the Owner of The Wandering Path. Well today has been a busy “creation” day as I need to start keeping track of all my healing type essential oils. So I went and figured out which ones I had already prepared a short information graphic on and which ones I didn’t.
The ones that are missing are included in this post today (Lemon, Clove, Peppermint, Myrrh, Lavender, Tea Tree, Frankincense, Patchouli, Rosemary, Cinnamon, and a quick note on Thieves Oil).
The previous posts have Ylang-Ylang, Galbanum, Eucalyptus, Cedar, and Fresh Ginger. (Hyperlinked for your convenience) I normally like to highlight these a few at a time but necessity trumps all and I should have done this as I got them in so it’s on me. I hope they help you like they do me.

Good Morning all, it’s Liza, the Owner of The Wandering Path. I have had major pain issues the past week due to over-activity and severe weather changes that causes my various disorders to act up.
Often there are times where my herbal supplements, meditation, and other techniques are not as effective and this is where I tap into others I have not shared with you yet.
Many years ago, during my time as an Asian Linguist, I was exposed to Tai Chi, the art of simple movements. It is not an intense exercise but you do feel it the next day, it would surprise many as it does during the first time they take a Beginner’s Yoga class at how sore you can be from stretching.
Tai Chi is a form of martial arts that is quite beautiful but low impact. The “dance” can teach you defensive techniques but I found the ability to focus through this movement mediation as very helpful on days of pain or when I have an overactive worry-filled mind.
Some movements I do are not traditional but things I have modified to affect the various troublesome muscle areas in my body but due to the low impact it can be used by almost anyone. I did pull a Harvard Research study and quoted their documented results but there are many studies out there from the Mayo Clinic & more if you wish to research for yourself.
Don’t feel silly if you decide to try it, it is easier than Yoga to do and I find it a great way to start out on learning stretching techniques as well as a way to tap and rejuvenate your own body energy as you focus and calm the mind.
Find you way to manage your body, mind & spirit.

Good Morning everyone, it’s Liza, the Owner of The Wandering Path. As the year is nearing the end, I found myself under a great deal of stress as things continue to pile up & I need to renew things as well as recharge a bit.
I took a day trip up to Cullman AL with a friend because I had heard of a Grotto that contained miniatures of various buildings created by a monk there that certainly had creativity in his journey. I have included some of the photos below including the little surprises that were a nice find, such as Temple of the Fairies; Hansel & Gretel visiting the Temple of the Fairies to include a stone dragon; a Lizard Condo; and crossway just for chipmunks. There was also the leaning tower of Pisa and hanging gardens.
There was so much to see & if you ever get a chance to walk the grounds, it is a nice peaceful place. My friend & I also went and saw their hand done stone chapel on site and you could feel as you went (for those that may be sensitive to energies) a great deal of power in the area…it made us both feel a bit jumpy but not necessarily in a bad way….the inside of the chapel for me had me feeling a bit crowded even though it was empty and while my friend felt more comfortable and he even said he felt “safe” in there, I was more comfortable on the grounds but that’s because our gifts vary a bit; either way the place is teeming with beauty & creativity and perhaps a few souls still wishing to help. Below is a shot of my favorite stained glass window which has the sun, the moon, mountains, & a path…certainly interesting how things throughout the monastery has things that show natural elements, pagan symbolism, etc..where most people may believe some of the symbolism is purely for certain things but what we saw shows that sometimes you need to research for yourself & not just go by what you have been told. My friend & I were also pleasantly surprised to find for sale in the Monk Store, a Trinity symbol mug
On our drive back, the miles seemed to go by much more quickly and before we knew it we were back home in Florida. We also found a few more sites we didn’t know were there in Alabama that we want to explore such as different wineries, a large 12 story high cavern, etc…so it looks like more day trips & perhaps a few overnighters are on the books in days to come.
Remember to take time and take a day away to forget stresses, ignore the cell phone and just see what is around, it certainly helped me to recharge just a bit & continue the hope for The Wandering Path to not fade into something I cannot do full time. Here is to hoping and thank you for listening. I have uploaded 64 shots of the Grotto & the stained glass windows of the chapel onto the “Owner’s Travel” section of The Wandering Path’s Pinterest site if you want to take a look.
Blessed Be, Brightest Blessings, Happy Wandering. With a raised coffee mug –Liza M.
